Actually, Innovis is considered to be the fourth largest credit bureau. They are a provider of customer and business relationship management services, and is often referred to as “the consumer’s credit reporting agency.” Many major creditors report to Innovis along with the other “Big Three” credit bureaus.
Although they remain quiet compared to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, Innovis has been around for over 50 years and collects information on consumers from very big names in the consumer market industry. Mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac contributed to the growth of Innovis in 2001 when they ordered all of their mortgage service providers to report borrower’s pay history to Innovis. Given the current economic situation and the downfall of both Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, you can expect to see more from Innovis in the near future.
It is more important than ever to be conscientious about your credit file and how you go about protecting it.
