I think the democracy as we see in the current mode of government proved to a total failure in providing the solution to the world peace and every other matter of life as well.
So it has been proved by practical examples that democracy is totally a fake way of government devised by human beings and humans are not perfect creatures to make perfect decisions so we have look for the divine solution and which provided by one and only religion of the world and that is Islam.
