Statute of limitations for bad check in Colorado...

I recently was stopped in florida for taillight. the officer said there was a warrent for me in colorado for nsf check. I haven't lived in colorado for 30 years, an at that time was a small contractor, an had some financial problems. What is statute of limitations for nsf in colorado? thank you, cliff

Im not sure about the laws in Colorado, but here in Florida it’s a felony to write a bad check. The statute of limitations would not apply to this type of debt in Florida because that is a criminal offense not a bad debt. Quite honestly, I would ask an attorney.
