If my landlord writes a letter of good standing over the last year to the credit agencies, could that potentially help my actual score? Trying to get approved for a home loan and there are a couple of hang ups.

There is a possibility of the bureaus adding the account to your report, but the chances are slim they will actually do it. You can use this letter:
http://www.expert-credit-advice.com/Let ... tter19.htm It is a called "Request for Addition of Supplementary Credit References Letter" and you can use it to request the addition of trad lines that are not being reported to help you build credit.
