Do I have the right to obtain a credit report from a debtor?

Hi, new to the forums...was looking for some help to answer a question. Hope this is the right spot.

I hold a mortgage note from the sale of a multi-unit property i sold. It's a second mortgage for $190,000.00 ... I now want to sell this note on the secondary market... of course any interested party wants to see a recent credit report. I called the borrowers and explained to them i am entertaining selling the note... and that if they could send me a recent copy of their credit report. Well, so far they haven't coorpertated. So.. question is .. Can i pull their credit report so i can sell my interest? thanks
