Copy rights expiration

Many of us don't known much about the copy right laws. Therefore we can easily trapped by the the illegal sue theses copy rights.I think government should create awareness to the general public when to use the material which copy right protection.The expiration is about 25-50 years of copy righted protected product after which it becomes the public property.
